ARES' magical Elixir
Xena's actual actionplay is a fantastic crossover of Xena and Lord of the Rings with a shot of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Beloved characters of the fantasy-genre like Xena--Warrior Princess, Ares, Gandalf, the Hobbits and Captain Jack Sparrow are convincingly aroused to life.
Besides great drama breathtaking swords fights and horse scenes are shown.
Plot:
Ares, the God of War robs in Middle Earth with the help of his Amazone-mates and the black Riders a magic,very baneful elixir, from which - mixed in a ritual with the blood of a virgin - he hopes to get the power of the whole universe. The virgin that should be sacrificed is Xena's friend Gabrielle.
For laughs provides a chaotic Pirate who considers the elixir for his rum.
Is Xena able to save Gabrielle from being sacrificed and is she able with the help of Gandalf to bring Ares to destroy the elixir in the fire?
